You know I just lent my in-laws a similar amount of money last week so they could buy a car.

I think it's from the original lot that came from yaton. Those all were rusty and banged up.

That impress was a nice cab not surprised it sold. Looks like the one’ on eBay have been reduced. Wonder if the markets just slow or they’re priced wrong based on condition.

Some are tested some not but most are sold as parts & others don't have any pictures weeks after they were posted.

John's a business man.. Nothing more, nothing less..
You're not telling me he's not tried to power up or check the other machines sold as parts only!?..
If there's some sort of picture he'd wack the price up.. I bought two Aero's off him 18 months ago working and in way, way WAY better condition with zero screen burn for £850 a piece.. ZERO rust on them.. All they needed was a quick service.. Chassis repairs.. Few buttons /sticks.. Clean and cut... I put a few hundred into each of mine.
Look close at those machines in photos.. You can easily see flood damage.. Water ingress..
All fixable.. But expensive... Even for me and I repair/re-do every part myself.. If you're paying someone else to sort jobs... The price gets silly.
And when I asked about prices being high, all he said "well, everything's shot up in price now.." and markets changed.... Yet he's dropped them down in a matter of days.. I even made sensible offers.. 😉

£850 is a very good price.
Based on that these would probably be £400/500 tops
